Now, what an event that was earlier on tonight at the Piraeus Marine Club down town Akti Miaouli at the Piraeus waterfront! It has surpassed any known event at the PMC premises with all three floors full. The expression: the room bursting to its seems is the least on can say !
The event, the 19th one, was introduced by the eloquent Joanna Koukouli LL.M., Co-Global Claims & Managing Director of the American P&I Club.

Obviously the issues discussed by each speaker was very timely, particularly the two presentation on the Environment, given what developed at the IMO on the last MEPC where: no consensus.
Marina Katsimicha, Claims executive at the American P&I Club subject was: “EU Emissions Trading System (ETS): Navigating the Risks”; a great and to the point presentation.
Also from Preston Turnbill LLP, partner Peter Mc Namee spoke on “FuelEU Maritime: Where have we come from where are we going”, an excellent account.
The towering Dr. William Moore dealt with “Collecting of Perishable Evidence” a well construed presentation.
Ralph Chammach explained “The Iceberg no one sees coming on Maritime Cybersecurity”, the second most important issue after the Environment that bother us these day for which allaboutshipping has numerous articles in the site.
Concluding remarks by Daniel A. Tandros, who also announced the Awards winners for saving life at see: Atlandis Shipping Corp. and the National Navigation Company of Egypt saving 55 and 110 people in distress. Seamanship coupled with Humane action at its best!
All in all a great event and hope we can bring you on the first update their speeches.
Many congratulations to the American P&I Club’s Piraeus office staff for yet another thoughtful seminar. Loss Prevention, is the buzz phrase very much needed for all in the Shipping Industry.
