Baden, Switzerland, April 30, 2013 – ABB Turbocharging will attend as one of four major sponsors this year’s 27th CIMAC World Congress on Combustion Engine Technology, held 13-16 May in Shanghai, China. The World Congress is held once every three years and constitutes the CIMAC’s major, most forward-looking, influential event. This year, the CIMAC World Congress is being hosted by the CIMAC’s Chinese national member association, Chinese Society of Internal Combustion Engines (CSICE). China is the world’s fastest-growing producer of engines, and this year’s Congress is expected to shed new insights into Chinese engine development and its underlying drivers.
This year, ABB Turbocharging will present its most cutting-edge, innovative technology, including its new A200-L turbochargers, two-stage turbocharging model Power2®, and Valve Control Management (VCM®), a variable valve training system that manages the air in a turbocharger actively.

The “Congrès International des Monteurs a Combustion Interne, ” (English: International Council on Combustion Engines), or CIMAC, as the organization is more widely known, was founded in the post-WWII era when the need to rebuild and grow fueled a huge demand for energy.
