Dredging at Reserved Dangerous Goods Anchorage
For approximately 4 months, dredging operations will be carried out [at the
Reserved Dangerous Goods Anchorage, East of Kau Yi Chau] within the area
bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum)
from (A) to (D):
(A) 22° 17.458’N / 114° 05.730’E
(B) 22° 17.103’N / 114° 05.876’E
(C) 22° 16.999’N / 114° 05.752’E
(D) 22° 17.402’N / 114° 05.530’E
The works will be carried out by one grab dredger. Three split-hopper
barges, two tugs and one work boat will assist in the works. The number of
vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit
operational requirements.
A working area of approximately 50 metres around the dredger will be
established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be
laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the dredger.
The works will be carried out round-the-clock.
Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in
international and local regulations.
Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

Maximum draft ti inward/outward restricted
The Harbour Master at Santos has advised that, due to adverse weather, from
11:40 local time today (25 July) the maximum draft for inward and outward
traffic is 12.00 metres, considering a feasible tide with minimum of 1.0
metres over zero, until conditions improve.
All vessels with a draft over 12.00 metres are not permitted to enter nor
sail.

Northern Brazil ports on strike
Docks Co (CDP) staged an administrative strike yesterday (24 July) at the
following ports in northern Brazil: Vila do Conde, Belem, Santarem, Miramar
Tanker Terminal and Sotave Terminal.
A full all-day strike is scheduled for today (25 July).
Further, a 72-stoppage is planned for Monday, 29 July.
