PORT: Delaware Bay, Delaware, Seasonal ice alert
Beginning December 1st, 2013, the Captain of the Port (COTP) Sector
Delaware Bay is setting a Seasonal Ice Alert for navigation within the
Delaware River, Delaware Bay, all existing tributaries, and the New Jersey
and Delaware Shore.
With the onset of fall and winter, colder air and water temperatures are
expected in the coming months.
Mariners observing any ice conditions are asked to please report them using
the Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay Ice Reporting Form located on the
unit’s website. The address is:

Mariners can also report conditions to the CG Sector Delaware Bay Command
Center on VHF Channel 16 or call (215) 271-4807.

State offices still working despite protests
In spite of rising political tension in Bangkok over the weekend,
government sources state that all official services, including Customs and
port authorities, are working as normal today (Monday 2 December).
However, according to reports in the local press, anti-government
protesters are now targeting the Metropolitan Police Bureau, Government
House and Parliament and other state offices could face rallies. Protests
in other provinces are also possible.
These protests may have an impact on operations such as customs clearance,
transportations and other services provided by affected state agency
offices.
