Clyde & Co is delighted to announce that it will be opening offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Our new South African operation will be led by Daniel Le Roux together with partners departing from Webber Wentzel’s Insurance and Legal Liability Practice Group, this includes Rashad Ismail and Warren Hiepner in Johannesburg, with Arthur James and Max Ebrahim in Cape Town. The firm plans to hire a further 10 lawyers in Johannesburg and three lawyers in Cape Town for the launch. Our offices will initially focus on insurance and dispute resolution – building on our global capabilities in both of these markets.
This team is one of the pre-eminent insurance legal teams in the South African market and covers all classes of insurance business.
The South African insurance market is highly sophisticated, while still having considerable growth potential. Insurers want to work with genuine sector specialists and Clyde & Co’s commitment to providing a worldwide platform to the insurance industry is unmatched.
Our new offices will provide a strong base for our activities across both South Africa and the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa. We are delighted that Daniel and his team will be joining us.
