– Design depth (metres): 10.6
– Actual depth (metres): 11.1*
Berth No 3
– Design depth (metres): 13.0
– Actual depth (metres): 12.9*
Berth 3 & 4 Composite
– Actual depth (metres): 12.9*
Berth No 4
– Design depth (metres): 10.6
– Actual depth (metres): 11.0*
Berth No 5
– Design depth (metres): 12.5
– Actual depth (metres): 12.2*

Updated channel depth

After recent bed levelling at Townsville, the depth of the Platypus Channel has been revised to 11.0m.
This means tidal windows for vessels with a draft of 9.70m or greater.
