Government offices close for holiday

UAE Government offices and the public sector will be closed from 4 to 7 October for the Eid Al Adha holidays. For the private sector, the holiday will be from 4 to 6 October.

DP World arrangements for Eid Al Adha Public Holiday

On the occasion of “Eid Al Adha” the Administrative Offices [of DP World] at Jebel Ali Port will be closed for 2 days, from 5 October to 6 October.
Regular working hours will commence from 7 October.
CONTAINER TERMINALS:
Container Terminals will be closed from 0400 hours to 0900 hours on first day of Eid. After 0900 hours the operations will resume as normal.
GENERAL CARGO & COMMERCIAL TRUCKING DEPARTMENT:
The GC operations will be ceased on the first day of Eid from 0400 till 0900 hrs. Overtime charges as per public holiday rates would be applicable from 0001 hrs on the Eid day. Sheds, yards, cargo receiving and delivery including Cold Store and Cool Store, receiving/ delivery of local trucks will remain closed and will resume operations at 0700 hrs on the second day of Eid. During this period, overtime charges will be applicable as per public holiday rates.
CONTAINER FREIGHT STATION(CFS):
Operations at CFS Facility will be closed during declared Eid holidays. However, services can be provided upon request from customers on prior notice. Overtime charges will be applicable as per public holiday rates.
MARINE DEPARTMENT:
Berthing and Un-Berthing of Vessels will operational 24 hours.

Five-day holiday

Official institutions and banks in Turkey will be closed from tomorrow (3 October) until and including Tuesday 7 October.
Some ports may be closed during this five-day holiday or fees for official services such as pilotage, towage, mooring or customs) increased by 50%. Vessel owners and operators are urged to check with GAC Turkey prior to calling at any Turkish Port.
GAC Turkey will be on duty during the holiday.

Transfer of bridge blocks
October 02, 2014, Turkey, Izmit
From 2 to 8 October bridge blocks will be transferred by floating crane from a location at 029 deg. 30’E and a location at 029 deg. 32’E in Izmit Bay.
The blocks will be transferred by the floating crane “Taklift-7” escorted by the tug “Smit Barracuda”.
During this period, to ensure safe navigation, vessels in the area should not exceed a maximum speed of 4 knots and must monitor VHF 12 and 16 at all times.
