Ministers at All-Energy 2014’s opening plenary session
The call for papers for All-Energy 2015, the UK’s largest renewable energy exhibition and conference, being held at the SECC, Glasgow onWednesday 6 and Thursday 7 May 2015, is now open at www.all-energy.co.uk/
The All-Energy conference covers all renewable energy generating sectors and the opportunities and challenges facing the industry and looks as vital areas such as finance and funding, grid, skills and at the ‘sensible option’ – energy efficiency. For 2015 it neatly embraces such topics as business energy efficiency, onsite renewables, microgeneration, retrofit, solar, renewable heat and low carbon transport under the ‘sustainable cities’ heading. The call for papers embraces the world-class conference (and associated academic poster sessions); the ‘Meet the Buyers’ Share Fair; and exhibition showfloor seminar areas home of quick-fire wave and tidal, community energy and business energy efficiency presentations.
“Once again, attendance at all conference sessions, as well as the major exhibition is free of charge to all with a business or professional interest in the show’s content, ” explains Jonathan Heastie, Event Director, Energy & Marine, Reed Exhibitions.
“We take our commitment to all the sectors extremely seriously and believe that in running a free-to-attend world class conference, a free Giant Networking Evening, and throughout the year running a free news service which culminates each fortnight in a free news round-up that goes to over 14, 000 subscribers it, we are indeed serving, and thanking, the industry for its support.

Getting up close is what exhibitions are all about
“All-Energy 2015 will reflect the changing face of politics as we head to the 2015 Westminster General Election; and we look forward to playing an important role in Glasgow during its Green Year (being officially launched in November 2014), welcoming exhibitors from around the world, and speakers on a vast range of topics.”
Looking back
All-Energy 2014 saw total attendance of 6, 875; 450+ exhibiting companies from 19 countries; and over 400 speakers taking part in 95+ hours of conference and seminar sessions.
Those speakers included Rt Hon Alistair Carmichael MP, Secretary of State for Scotland; Fergus Ewing MSP, Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Tourism, Scottish Government; Sir Richard Branson; Bader Saeed Al Lamki, Director of Masdar Clean Energy; Peter Boyd, Chief Operating Officer, Carbon War Room and experts from all the renewable energy generating sectors; and from the worlds of finance and funding, grid, and skills who work with them towards the industry’s success; and also those actively involved with business energy efficiency, CCS, nuclear, and energy storage.
The vast majority of the 2014 presentations are online to browse free of charge; and videos of nearly 60 can similarly be watched free of charge.

Business being done and contacts made
The opportunities are gigantic
Already over a half of the available exhibition space at All-Energy 2015 has been booked or reserved by exhibitors from Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK; and Shepherd and Wedderburn have made a commitment to sponsor the offshore wind and sustainable cities conference theatres; and the three showfloor ‘quick fire’ seminar programmes.
“We look forward to receiving your submissions to the call for papers and, of course, welcoming you in May, ” says Jonathan Heastie. “As Sir Richard Branson said in an interview at All-Energy 2014: ‘The opportunities for entrepreneurs in renewable energy are gigantic. I don’t think there is any one single sector that is more exciting’. I certainly couldn’t put it better and look forward to welcoming entrepreneurs from organisations of all sizes from home and overseas to All-Energy at the SECC.”
