Paul Stanley
Global Navigation Solutions (‘GNS’), the maritime services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Stanley as Chief Executive with effect from 5 January 2015.
During the last fifteen years, Paul has held a number of senior executive positions in the business information and software sectors, both within the UK and internationally. In 1999 he founded Moneybox Plc and successfully floated the company on AIM. From 2006 to 2011 he held several senior positions at First Data Corporation. His most recent role was as CEO of Retail Decisions, a specialist in fraud mitigation software and a global leader in its field, which has recently been sold to ACI Worldwide.
Mike Robinson stepped down as CEO in December 2014. The Board of GNS is very grateful to Mike for his energy and imagination in conceiving and building GNS into a genuinely international group, able to deliver the services and technology which is enabling shipping companies around the world to move from paper charts to full digital navigation services, employing back-of-bridge planning, ship-to-shore synchronisation and information sharing.
Commenting on today’s news, Chairman of GNS, Alastair Hazell said: “Under Paul’s leadership we will be looking to enhance the digital and software solutions GNS provides, so that we deliver the best customer experience and maintain our position as the leading provider of navigational and related products to the marine industry.
“Mike feels it is the right time to hand over the leadership of GNS to a CEO with the skills to develop the business which he has helped create. We are grateful for his huge contribution and delighted that he will remain involved as a shareholder.”
