VV Market Round UpNo tanker sales affecting values have taken place this week although there is a slight drop across the board in values due to the dropping freight rates. The only tanker sale being the Navion Svenita, an old aframax shuttle tanker, which has gone at a very low price to Greeks although it is not an indicative sale due to the specialist nature of the ship.
In the Bulker market there has been more movement with a large number of bulkers sold. Panamax values continue to fall across the age range with the sale of the Torm Trader 82, 600 dwt blt 2010 Tadotsu Tsuneishi  at usd 16.5 mil to Chartworld and the Million Trader 76, 400 dwt blt 2004 Tsuneishi Zosen at usd 10.4 mil supporting this. The bank sale of the Blenheim Shipping fleet also supports this further drop. First two modern Supramaxes sold this week significantly below last done with Ultra Initiator 56, 000 dwt blt 2007 Mitsui selling at usd 12.5 mil. This is around half the price that the Top Island 55, 700 dwt blt 2006 Oshima achieved this time last year.  Very little movement in the Container sector.Read our previous weekly round ups here
