AVEVA announce new productivity enhancements in the latest release of AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation.

New releases of AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation provides powerful new functionality for engineering teams

Cambridge,  UK – 16 April 2015: AVEVA today announced new productivity enhancements in the latest release of AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation, feature-rich software applications for electrical & instrumentation engineering and design in plant and marine projects.  New functionality also includes offering best-in-class cable routing capabilities based on AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D)  as well as deliveringgreater flexibility to the way in which distributed engineering teams can configure and control projects.

‘These enhancements are a good example of how AVEVA is once again responding to industry benchmarking and customer feedback, ’ said Dave Wheeldon, Chief Technology Officer, AVEVA. ‘The upgrades reflect our continued commitment to realise AVEVA’s Integrated Engineering & Design vision by ensuring all 2D and 3D designs and data are tightly integrated throughout the project life cycle.’

The new product upgrade makes AVEVA Electrical the only engineering product of its type that allows accurate cable length and sizing calculations through integration with AVEVA E3D for cable routing.

AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation are both Citrix Ready, giving customers yet more flexibility in the way in which they configure, deploy and control AVEVA applications on their projects.  AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation on Citrix can even be combined with the world-leading AVEVA Global technology.

Users can learn more about AVEVA Electrical, including its partnership with industry leaders ETAP fordetailed analysis at the ETAP User Conference 2015 on April 20-22, in Irvine,  California,  USA. Julien de Beer, AVEVA’s Head of Product Strategy for Engineering Design Systems will discuss the ETAP – AVEVA Electrical interface. Mr de Beer will cover how AVEVA Electrical is enhanced further by delivering productivity gains by bridging the gaps between analysis, functional design and actual layout through its integration with ETAP. This shared data offers engineers and project manager’s greater accuracy, quality and speed of deliverables across the shared data. For further information about the ETAP User Conference visitwww.aveva.com/events/etap2015.

AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation advanced graphical user interfaces, advanced cable routing capabilities, use of design rules and catalogues for data creation; offer maximum workflow flexibility, improving project productivity and design quality.  AVEVA Electrical and AVEVA Instrumentation are part of AVEVA’s Integrated Engineering and Design solution.
