Vitaly Klyuev.
Vitaly Klyuev, the first ever Russian candidate nominated for the IMO Secretary General post, will be visiting Singapore from 20 through 24 April to attend events of Singapore Maritime Week 2015 and will be available for media interviews.
Deputy Director, the Department of State Policy for Maritime and River Transport of Russia’s Ministry of Transport Vitaly Klyuev and five other candidates from Cyprus, South Korea, Philippines, Denmark and Kenya will be competing for the IMO leadership. The present incumbent, Mr. Koji Sekimizu, ends his four-year term as Secretary-General on 31 December 2015.
Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) is the leading maritime event in Singapore. Driven by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), SMW gathers the international maritime community in Singapore for a week of conferences, dialogues, exhibitions and social events in celebration of all things maritime.
