The Institute of Export has launched a new Masters in International Trade, Strategy and Operations in collaboration with the University of Warwick .
The formal qualification will provide a thorough knowledge and understanding of the management and operational requirements necessary to trade successfully in international markets.
The programme, which can be studied part or full time, is designed to appeal to a wide range of participants looking to take on senior roles in companies which trade internationally with core modules including financial management, business management and trade strategy and international sales and marketing.
Director General, Lesley Batchelor OBE, said: “The IOE is proud to be working with WMG, the research, education and collaboration arm of the University of Warwick on this Master’s degree.
“This new MSc in International Trade, Strategy & Operations is the final piece in the Institute’s progression for our qualifications. We can now say that a student can start with us at the age of 16 and follow our professional qualifications through to an MSc from the University of Warwick.”
The course, which is relevant to organisations trading internationally from engineering and manufacturing to retail and wholesale, is heavily focused on the application of theory into practice and how skills developed throughout the study will be used in a professional environment.
Students who have completed the IOE’s Diploma in International Trade qualification or Foundation Degree Professional Practice in International Trade will be eligible for the three year MSc, alongside students who have a second class honours degree or sufficient professional experience.
Intake dates take place every 3 months annually – in January, April, June and September. About the Institute Of Export
The Institute of Export (IOE) was established in 1935 and is incorporated as a registered charity under the patronage of HRH The Duke of Kent. The Institute’s mission is to enhance the export performance of the United Kingdom by setting and raising professional standards in international trade management and export practice. This is achieved principally by the provision of education and training programmes.
Dedicated to professionalism and recognising the challenging and often complex trading conditions in international markets, the Institute is committed to the belief that real competitive advantage lies in competence and that commercial power, especially negotiating power, is underpinned by a sound basis of knowledge.
The IOE is the only professional body in the UK offering recognised, formal qualifications in International Trade. As an awarding body with the QCF the IOE is registered to make and grant qualifications. This includes modern apprenticeships, foundation degrees and all six levels of the National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).
