Are you a sales person with at least five years’ experience who prides themselves on their extensive maritime knowledge? If you answered yes to this and have a management qualification then this could be the perfect next career step for you!

Tanker and container values firmThe main story this week in values has been the significant fall in demo levels, this has resulted in all vessels valued at scrap falling in value as seen on the matrix. Tankers; VLCC values firmed this week with Sinokor selling the 2009 built Bejijin Sunrise and 2011 built Dalian Glory for very firm prices to China VLCC. Likewise suezmax values have firmed slightly following details surrounding the sale of the Ariadni 166, 100 dwt blt 2009 Hyundai emerging (she sold for usd 55.5 mil to Delta Tankers,  now renamed the Delta Sky). MRs have seen the biggest jump in values this week with the sisters Brimanger and Berganger 46, 200 dwt blt 2009 Hyundai Mipo selling for usd 28.5 mil each to Nation Chemical Carriers of Saudi Arabia.  Bulker values continue to fall due to rates,  though no benchmark sales have taken place. Circa 10 capes have gone for scrap this week. Four sales took place in the container market this week with 3 in the handy sector and 1 in the sub panamax sector. No change resulted from the sale of the Ayutthaya Bridge 1, 708TEU blt 2007 Imabari as it was sold within 1% of the VV value but the sisters Dorikos and Thermaikos 1, 561TEU blt 1996 Hyundai were done over 10% above the VV value causing the values to increase. Sale of the Sils 2, 824 TEU blt 2003 Hyundai at usd 13 mil has also driven up the values of midsize container vessels.
