The 5th Blue Shipping Summit 2015 conference held on the 27th of May in Athens’ Apollo Divani Hotel was more than a successful and stimulating event with interesting presentations and energizing discussions.
High level speakers, session and conference panelists, chairmen and present audience from all over the world, contributed to a great ambience on this extraordinary day, packed with gaining and sharing knowledge, brainstorming and making and sustaining contacts.
We where lucky to be in Greece and attend same – luckily the first two sessions and the lunch, a …super networking! We managed to put forward questions for the market’s future, a bit tough ones, but we had the support from many in the audience, particularly the supportive interventions from Commodore (Rt. HCG) Alec Karkantzos, Harry Petrakakos and others!
All four session where more than interesting, theme-wise and we must also add that George Gourdomichalis, Philip Embiricos and Apo Poulovassilis – ever present and conference chairman but now under a new cap that of COO of Eletson Corporation, where all on a great day!!!

Another interesting thing that governs shipping is continuation, and here we had amongst others a father and son: Harry Petrakakos as a delegate and his son Nikos as a speaker! Two of the Tsavliris brothers where there too, George as a speakers and Andreas as a delegate! needless to say about the J. Kostoulas and Family… as well as Karen Kokabi family continuation! Excellent!
The Conference Discussion Panellists, something like twenty experts from the entire shipping field, did their best with their position statements and replies to the interesting questions put forward by the delegates.
