ATHENS, GREECE, July 28, 2015 – Diana Containerships Inc. (NASDAQ: DCIX) (the “Company”), a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of containerships, today announced that it has signed, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, a Memorandum of Agreement to sell to an unaffiliated third party the 2001-built vessel “Cap Domingo”, with delivery due to the buyer by mid-March 2016, for a gross sale price of US$24, 250, 000.
The closing of this transaction is subject to buyer’s Board of Directors approval not later than September 4, 2015.
Upon completion of the aforementioned sale, Diana Containerships Inc.’s fleet will consist of 12 container vessels (4 Post-Panamax and 8 Panamax).
