August 21, 2015 – Carleen Lyden-Kluss, Co-Founder and Executive Director of North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA) announced today that Port Everglades has joined NAMEPA as a new member. NAMEPA welcomes Port Everglades as the efforts to “Save Our Seas” continues to expand.
“Port Everglades is one of the fastest growing seaports in the nation. The growth plan focuses on advances in technology and infrastructure to improve efficiency, capacity and sustainability. NAMEPA is working more closely with ports throughout North America to further the discussion on sound environmental practices. Port Everglades shows their interest by joining NAMEPA”, stated NAMEPA’s Carleen Lyden-Kluss. “As the membership growth and diversity across the industry continues, NAMEPA’s reach in collaborating on new strategies to protect the marine environment expands. Our organizations are committed to the stewardship and protection of our seas through corporate social responsibility and public education in the communities about protecting this important global resource.”
