In our thirty-seventh weekly recapitulation of the shipping markets, their respective main indices and world geopolitics affecting same in 2015 and beyond last Friday the 11thof September 2015, we have adequately warn you of what to expect!
We were absolutely right so far in our prediction with respect the falling markets and the volatility aspect particularly in the Cape size…needless to say the fact that the world economy is in disarray… John Faraclas warns:
- The BDI, the Baltic Dry Index, closed up 12 points at 814 points which is four points below the 11th of September’s closing at 818 points, but bear in mind that yesterday was down to 802 – close in breaking the 800 barrier….
- The price of oil continues to stand in the region US$ 45 overall but there is hope of reaching the US$ 50… we shall see….…
- The BCI 2014 was 68 points up at 1, 264 points which is 66 points higher than the closing of 11/9/2015. Volatility at its best! One size as we have numerous times expressed cannot dictate the markets!
- The BPI was 16 points down four points at 716 points which is 29 points down from the 735 points of 11/9/2015..
- The BSI was also down six points at 783 points which is 27 points down since 11/9/2015 810 points! and,
- The BHSI was down too six points at 439 points which is 41 points down since 11/9/2015 460 points….
- The wets now: the Dirties and its BDTI index was three points down at 626 points which is 14 points down since last week’s 11/9 640 points…
- The Cleans and its respective BCTI was down eight points at 527 points which is 28 points down since last week’s closing 11/9/2015 at 555 points…
In Geopolitics the Migrants issue which over the last month has become the number one issue worldwide is going far worse. The politicians are totally out of any context in having the determination and knowledge to tackle and close the matter once and for all. Things will soon be explosive!!!! Poor people on all sides! There are rumours of terrorists amongst migranst/refugees entering or already having enetred Europe/European Union and beyond; if this is true, well, hell is coming… There is though time to reverse this mess!
With the Greek Elections this coming Sunday in the horizon things are getting to the fore…. Expect major surprises and messy outcome both in the short and long term…
Only a government of Aristos can save Greece; this Aristos Government must stay for ten years and streamline the country and become the preamble for other suffering European Nations survival!
