Jon Folkedal
Global Navigation Solutions (“GNS”), the maritime navigation services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Folkedal, as the Country Manager for Norway with immediate effect. This is the first specific country appointment for GNS in Scandinavia.
Jon Folkedal joins GNS from Cummins Norway AS, where he acted as Sales Manager Commercial Marine. Jon has over 13 years’ experience in the shipping industry including 9 years with rope specialist Timm Marine. He has also held positions with GIS and map supplier Ugland IT Group/Nordeca, as well as IBM.
He graduated as Bachelor of International Marketing from the Norwegian School of Marketing (BI), which included studies in Oslo, Barcelona and Madrid. He has extensive international business experience and speaks half a dozen languages.
