22 exemplary staff who was bestowed the Best Ambassador of the Yer Awards
Singapore, 6 October 2015 – Singapore Post (SingPost) is proud to honor exemplary staff that has gone above and beyond their duties to serve customers in the last year. SingPost has been recognizing its staff for their high service standards since a decade ago with the Best Employee of the Year Awards which has now been renamed as the Best Postal Delivery Ambassador Awards. This award extends to staff from SingPost’s subsidiaries Famous Holdings, SP eCommerce, SP Parcels, Quantium Solutions, as well as Couriers Please.
The number of staff that delivered outstanding service this year has increased significantly this year. This is a reflection of SingPost’s expansion, transformation and shows the diversity of the company’s employees across the region. The number of award winners has risen from 18 to 22 while the number of Commendation Awards has grown from 233 to 356 in the last year. These numbers represent a growth of 22% and close to 53% respectively.
Since July 2013, SingPost has been undertaking various strategic service initiatives through its company-wide customer-centric culture (C3) programme to strengthen the importance of service excellence within the company. The results of these efforts are showing as the number of customer compliments received year-to-date has soared by three-folds.

Outstanding Ambassador of the Year – Ms Kairunnisa Bte Abdul rahman with SingPost Group CEO Dr. Wolfgang Baier
The annual awards ceremony marks its tenth year today in conjunction with World Post Day[1] and is the culmination of SingPost’s C3 programme. For the first time in 10 years, the top award of the Best Postal Delivery Ambassador is bestowed to a Post Woman for her commendable level of service dedication.
Dr Wolfgang Baier, Group Chief Executive Officer of SingPost, said: “There is nothing more fitting to celebrate World Post Day other than to honor service excellence and dedication to postal service. This day is very important to all of us at SingPost as it serves as a reminder of the pivotal role that Postal services play in last mile delivery, even as the world becomes increasingly digital. I am very heartened to see that the number of staff that has been selected as our very best ambassadors have swelled over the last year. This is testament to our service culture and very encouraging for us to strive for greater success.”
He added: “Another evidence of our service excellence is reflected through the recent 2015 Q2 Customer Satisfaction Index Singapore (CSISG). SingPost has taken the third spot in the Courier Services category, ahead of international competitors with a score of 71.2 (category average is 70.2). As we transform our business, some things will not change such as the levels of service standards as well as commitment to our customers to provide trusted communications.”
Mr Woo Keng Leong, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Postal Services at SingPost said: “As a people business in Singapore and across Asia Pacific, we take pride in the high service standards that our staff upholds. As we grow our businesses, we will not forget to keep our staff who have been serving Singaporeans happy. They are our greatest asset and without them, there is no growth to speak of.”
Outstanding Ambassador of the Year, Ms Kairunnisa Bte Abdul Rahiman
In the service industry, going the extra mile is the way to go. Ms Kairunnisa Bte Abdul Rahiman is SingPost’s first post woman to receive the highest accolade of the annual Best Ambassador of the Year awards. Her hard work aside, she displays a great working attitude, is committed, and reliable. Since joining SingPost in 2012, she has not taken a day of medical leave. Customers appreciate her patience, cheerfulness and proactivity. They appreciate that she informs them whenever their mail box is full so that new mail can be delivered. She has received 67 compliments in FY14/15. Beyond these, she often goes the extra mile for co-workers at her own personal time – she brings new comers to the driving centre for a test, gives driving theory test tips, helps out with additional paperwork and actively participates in the company’s Kaizen productivity activities as well.
