Painting of the suspension spans and towers of the Walt Whitman Bridge is being conducted between 0700 and 1500 hours daily, until 31 March 2018.A work platform extending 3 feet beneath the lower portion of the bridge will be installed over the entire length of the bridge. Vessel Traffic Service Houston-Galveston directs no ship or ocean going barge movements on the Houston Ship Channel from Kinder-Morgan Galena Park Dock 2 to Kinder-Morgan Galena Park Dock 4 from 0900 to 1500 hours local time today (Thursday 22 October), for salvage operations.Inland tow traffic will be allowed to transit the area with no meeting or overtaking and at minimum safe speed.For information about operations in the USA contact GAC USA at usa@gac.com |
