George Hatziioannou
The new EIRA Newsletter is out, Volume 4 Issue II – above all it is more than interesting this time to study its editors letter and sent us your comments; George Hatziioannou is more than accurate to his predictions on global energy markets.
Here he goes:
“The main problem leading to the disastrous “Arab Spring” was the inability to reach consensus-based relations between the people and power, the state and its citizens, the elites and the masses. With the “help” of course of the usual foreign “benefactors”.
This problem is not typical only of Arab and MENA countries. Their northern neighbours, including some of the Balkan countries, are also internally unstable, prone to violence, socially and economically underdeveloped.
The recent mass influx of refugees and the economic pressure exercised on the weak and defenceless in Europe, due to corruption and oligarchic policies, are making the problem worse and could be an ideal recipe for a European style “Arab Spring”.
