Isra Wal Mi’raj Public Holiday

On the occasion of “Isra Wal Mi’raj” DP World, UAE Region Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, 5 May 2016and regular working hours will resume from Sunday, 8 May 2016.The terminal operations will continue as normal. During the holiday period, all charges will be raised according to the public holiday rates listed in the Port Tariff.

Vessel grounded in Canal
Friday, April 29, 2016, Suez Canal, Egypt
A 153, 514 DWT container ship grounded due to engine trouble at 144Km in the Suez Canal at about 1630 hours local time yesterday (28 April), according. The vessel is still grounded at the same position.It was number 10 in Southbound Convoy (of 20 vessels). The rest of Southbound Convoy (8 vessels) have been detained.

There are some delays on the Northbound Convoy movement and starting time of today’s Northbound Convoys had been suspended. Today’s Southbound convoy started at 0800 hours local time and will stop and wait at Great Bitter Lakes.

Suez Canal tugs are trying to assist the ship, but more traffic delays are expected until the grounded vessel is floated.
