Soil investigation works in Temasek Fairway |

Soil investigation works are underway in the northern part of Temasek Fairway and will continue until 8 June 2016.According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.49 of 2016, the works are being conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – at the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum): BH – P11) 01 deg. 15.490’N / 103 deg. 39.260’E BH – P12) 01 deg. 15.340’N / 103 deg. 39.320’E BH – P13) 01 deg. 15.180’N / 103 deg. 39.370’E BH – P14) 01 deg. 14.880’N / 103 deg. 39.490’E BH – P15) 01 deg. 14.580’N / 103 deg. 39.600’ESoil investigation works will be carried out by drilling and sampling using a jack-up barge. Tug boats will be used to move the jack-up barge. The safety zone is a circular area of 30m radius centred at the borehole. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft about the work.When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to: a) Keep well clear of the working barges; b) Maintain a proper lookout; c) Proceed at a slow speed and navigate with caution; d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control); and e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.For information about operations in Singapore contact GAC Singapore at singapore@gac.com |
