An increasing number of multimodal connections are being established between the Port of Rotterdam and Poland. This means more opportunities for Polish shippers and providers of logistics services. Given that European countries are Poland’s most important trading partners, this is certainly good news. In addition, exports from Poland are continuing to increase. A delegation of Rotterdam service providers will visit Poznań this week to explain the possibilities of combining the road/short-sea and rail/short-sea modalities to Polish shippers and providers of logistics services.

In recent years, the growth of the Polish economy was considerably stronger than the Eurozone average and this trend is expected to continue in the coming years. This economic growth means that demand for luxury products is increasing. In addition, production in Poland is increasing and the country’s exports are on the rise. The Port of Rotterdam can play a role in this regard as a logistics, rail, deep-sea and short-sea hub in Europe. During the Seminar and Business Event on 12 May, it will also be shown that, in terms of the storage, transfer and transport of cargo, Rotterdam is a cost and time-saving option for Polish companies.

In addition to the seminar, there will be ample opportunity for the Polish guests to network with members of the Port of Rotterdam business community. Representatives of no less than 11 Rotterdam companies will travel to Poland to establish contact with Polish companies and strengthen ties. While members of the Rotterdam delegation are of course looking forward to explaining the possibilities offered by the Port of Rotterdam in person, all parties can already get in touch. The innovative Rotterdam Port Connector website makes it easy to contact over 500 service providers in the ports of Rotterdam, Moerdijk and Dordrecht and ask these them any kind of logistics-related question.

About RPPC

The Rotterdam Port Promotion Council (RPPC) was established in 1933 under the name Stichting Havenbelangen Rotterdam-Europoort. RPPC operates as an intermediary for its 200 members, companies that are active in and for the ports of Rotterdam, Dordrecht and Moerdijk. Companies and potential customers establish contact during network meetings, trade fairs and receptions held in Rotterdam for foreign delegations. RPPC helps to retain and increase cargo flows from and to ports by organising events of the kind referred to. Together, the RPPC members represent all modalities, cargo segments and services available. All companies can be reached through the Rotterdam Port Connector website.
