Ramadan Working Hours
Monday, May 30, 2016, United Arab Emirates
During the holy month of Ramadan [due to start around 6 June +/- 1 day], the working hours for DP World UAE Region are as below:Commercial and Administrative Departments:
08:00 – 14:00 Sunday to Thursday

Container Terminals:           
Operations will continue as normal.
Gate operations will continue 24 hours .

General Cargo:                        
Normal hours 08:00 hours – 14:00 hours / Overtime : 1400 hours onwards
Break hours:
Iftar Break 19:00 hours – 19:45 hours
Suhoor Break 03:30 hours – 04:00 hours

CFS and Cold Chain Logistics:     
Normal Shift 08:00 hours – 14:00 hours
Overtime: 1400 hours onwards

Transportation and Distribution:              
Operations will continue 24 hours

Marine Department:            
Berthing and un-berthing of vessels will continue.

All services provided during overtime hours will be charged in accordance to overtime rates as listed in the Port Tariff.

Submarine Outfall Inspection Works

For approximately one week, submarine outfall inspection works will be carried out off Lung Kwu Sheung Tan, Urmston Road in the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22 deg. 23.349’N / 113 deg. 53.700’E
(B) 22 deg. 23.310’N / 113 deg. 53.740’E
(C) 22 deg. 23.045’N / 113 deg. 53.448’E
(D) 22 deg. 23.083’N / 113 deg. 53.408’EOne work boat will carry out the works. One guard boat will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 25 metres around the work boat will be established.

The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1700 hours from Monday to Saturday. The vessels employed for the works will not stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the area.

Maintenance dredging in Sungei Pandan

Maintenance dredging works will be carried out in Sungei Pandan between 1 June and 30 November.According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.62 of 2016, the work will be conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the  working  area  bounded  by  the  following  co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg.18.417’N / 103 deg. 45.162’E
2) 01 deg.18.466’N / 103 deg. 45.216’E
3) 01 deg.18.337’N / 103 deg. 45.274’E
4) 01 deg.18.114’N / 103 deg. 45.365’E
5) 01 deg.18.029’N / 103 deg. 45.426’E
6) 01 deg.18.020’N / 103 deg. 45.342’E
7) 01 deg.18.091’N / 103 deg. 45.311’E
8) 01 deg.18.084’N / 103 deg. 45.302’E

The  dredging  work  will  be  carried  out  by  grab  dredgers  held  in  position  by spuds. Tug boats will be used to shift the dredgers. The dredged materials will be transported to the designated dumping grounds by hopper barges, which will be shifted by pusher tug boats.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area of the project.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of working barges;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a slow speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening  watch  on  VHF  Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF Channel 25 for assistance, if required.
