For approximately 10 months, marine works involving dredging operations, removal of breakwater and piling works will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (N): (A) 22 deg. 17.180’N / 114 deg. 11.096’E (B) 22 deg. 17.171’N / 114 deg. 11.097’E (C) 22 deg. 17.167’N / 114 deg. 11.084’E (D) 22 deg. 17.140’N / 114 deg. 11.085’E (E) 22 deg. 17.107’N / 114 deg. 11.095’E (F) 22 deg. 17.087’N / 114 deg. 11.054’E (G) 22 deg. 17.092’N / 114 deg. 11.038’E (H) 22 deg. 17.100’N / 114 deg. 11.033’E (I) 22 deg. 17.110’N / 114 deg. 11.034’E (J) 22 deg. 17.145’N / 114 deg. 11.036’E (K) 22 deg. 17.138’N / 114 deg. 11.009’E (L) 22 deg. 17.147’N / 114 deg. 11.009’E (M) 22 deg. 17.153’N / 114 deg. 11.033’E (N) 22 deg. 17.163’N / 114 deg. 11.031’EThe works will be carried out by a flotilla of vessels including one grab dredger, two hopper barges, two derrick barges and three tugboats. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.A working area of approximately 30 metres around the dredger and each barge will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the dredger and barges. A silt curtain, extending from the sea surface to the seabed, will be established within the works area. The silt curtain is a large piece of netting used to contain mud and sediments. Yellow markers fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the extent of the silt curtain. The hours of work will be from 0700 to 2300 hours. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work. Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations. Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution. DP World is pleased to announce that on the occasion of “Eid Al Fitr” the Administrative Offices at Jebel Ali Port will be closed starting from 5 July to 7 July 2016. Regular working hours will commence from 8 July.CONTAINER TERMINALS: Container Terminals will be closed from 0400 hours to 0900 hours on first day of Eid. After 0900 hours the operations will resume as normal.GENERAL CARGO & COMMERCIAL TRUCKING DEPARTMENT: The GC Vessel operations will be ceased on the first day of Eid from 0400 till 0900 hrs. Overtime charges as per public holiday rates would be applicable from 0001 hrs on the Eid day. Cargo receiving and delivery of local trucks will be closed during declared Eid holidays. However, services can be provided upon request from customers on prior notice. During this period, overtime charges will be applicable as per public holiday rates. LOGISTICS CENTRE: Marine Department Berthing and Un-Berthing of Vessels will continue 24 hours. Seismic research which has been conducted in the Marmara Sea by M/V Barbaros Hayreddin Pasa, M/V Bravo Supporter and M/V Kofso since 10 April 2016 will be completed on 8 July 2016.The traffic Separation Scheme will be in operation and the temporary two-way route will be cancelled on 8 July 2016 at 12:00 local time.For information about operations in Turkey contact GAC Turkey at turkey@gac.com |
