GREECE: According to a report issued yesterday by the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) the tax increases that were imposed during the last 12 months have led to a higher than 10% loss of competitiveness of the Greek tourism product. However, customer satisfaction in terms of the services offered by Greek hotels remains significantly higher than that of competitive destinations overtime.
SOUTH EASTERN EUROPE
CYPRUS: Tourist arrivals increased by +21.2% YoY in Jan-June 2016.
SERBIA: Lending to corporates and lending to retail expanded by 1.2% MoM and 1.4% MoM respectively in June.
