Capt. Antonio M. Padrón y Santiago, “IMO Maritime Ambassador” and Maritime Authority of Tenerife, participated in the National Congress of the Spanish Association of Maritime Law (AEDM) with the paper “The International Maritime Organisation and the human factor”
During the conference, the IMO Maritime Ambassador outlined the progress in the “Boarding Program for Maritime Cadets” as well as the enormous professional opportunities offered by the maritime sector, both at sea and ashore, for young people.

The Congress was held in the auditorium URIA MENENDEZ (Madrid), under the slogan: “European Shipping Law: The influence of EU legislation in the maritime sector”, with the presidency of Mr. Rodolfo A. Gonzalez-Lebrero, President of the AEDM.
