Glander International Bunkering, one of the industry’s oldest bunker trading and brokering firms, is pleased to announce that the group has merged with the Norwegian company Scandinavian Bunkering AS. Scandinavian Bunkering AS. was established in 1993 and as of September 26th 2016 the company will change its name and rebrand to Glander International Bunkering (Norway) AS.
The merge will give way to a magnitude of new and improved resources on account of the union of two very strong entities. Scandinavian Bunkering AS operates worldwide from Norway and Singapore and by way of the merger, Glander International Bunkering will now have an office in Norway and an extended office in Singapore. For the clients of both firms, an increased worldwide representation will promise increased access to business professionals, stronger purchasing power and improved internal administration services.
This will be Glander International Bunkering’s second office in Europe and represents the group’s goal to increase geographical coverage and respectively maximize responsiveness to its clients. The merge also stays true to the group’s expansion strategy of remaining local, yet global by maintaining all the same names and faces. All traders from Scandinavian Bunkering AS and Scandinavian Bunkering (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., will continue, keeping the same phone numbers but email domains will change. Clients should be assured that the Glander International Bunkering brand will stand stronger as a result of more offices and more resources under the one entity.

The synergy between both firms will result in a more specialized pool of knowledge being made available to Glander International Bunkering clients. Scandinavian Bunkering AS have held a well-respected stance in the marketplace for many years which will provide ample opportunities for the teams of both firms to share best practices and in turn improve internal education and skillset.
The Managing Director of Scandinavian Bunkering AS, Erik Rankin Vinde, will be running operations at Glander International Bunkering (Norway) AS. Commenting on the merger Erik said:
