ABP’s Humber operation will be hosting its first ever recruitment fair at Port House in Hull on Wednesday 19th October.
The event has been organised to highlight opportunities within the Humber ports of Hull, Goole, Grimsby and Immingham and will also showcase the benefits of working within the ports and logistics sector.
ABP is looking for people to fill a number of vacancies in specialisms including port operatives, operations supervisors, electrical technicians, engineers, weighbridge operators and crane operators among others.
Those attending the recruitment event will be able to upload their CV to the ABP website for review prior to the open day and take part in on-the-spot interviews during the event.
ABP Head of Human Resources Humber, Jane Spencer, explained why ABP is hosting the Recruitment Open Day.
She said: “We’re looking for local people who have a passion for what we do, who can help the business to grow and who will work hard to build a career with us.
“ABP is currently investing in a wide range of machinery and equipment and is overhauling its business processes to make it a great place to work.
“Representatives from operations, engineering, marine and many other departments will be on hand to answer questions and help attendees understand the business, as well as conduct interviews. It promises to be a very informative and productive day.”
