Submarine outfall inspection works off Chai Wan
Friday, August 4, 2017, Hong Kong
For approximately 1 week, submarine outfall inspection works will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22 deg. 16.395’N / 114 deg. 15.018’E
(B) 22 deg. 16.378’N / 114 deg. 15.041’E
(C) 22 deg. 16.319’N / 114 deg. 14.989’E
(D) 22 deg. 16.336’N / 114 deg. 14.966’E

The works will be carried out by one survey vessel.

The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1800 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessel employed for the works will not stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Vessel engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

Navigation restrictions
Friday, August 4, 2017, Mississippi River, United States
The LMR [Lower Mississippi River] is open to navigation with the following conditions:

  • Due to a lost anchor, vessels drafting 40’ or more are limited to one-way traffic IVO MM 03-05, BHOP.
  • There is a report of a heavy oil sheen in the vicinity of and extending below Canal St at MM-95. All vessels should proceed with caution.
