Fracino has been named Business of the Year in the Birmingham Awards which celebrate and showcase the dynamic contribution of the city’s companies and individuals.
The latest accolade acknowledges how the continued success of the UK’s only manufacturer of espresso and cappuccino machines is fuelled by innovation – producing 11 machines across 2008-2017.
Global fast food giant, Subway®, named Fracino as its Innovation Partner for 2016-2017 after being invited to produce two bespoke machines for its franchisees in the UK and Poland.
With a customer portfolio spanning Patisserie Valerie, Living Ventures Restaurant Group, AMT Coffee and Pathfinder pub chains, the manufacturer consistently strives to excel in delivering excellence in customer service.
Posting double-digit sales growth year-on-year since 2009, the third generation family business, a proud member of Made in Britain, is a champion of world class manufacturing techniques and exports to over 70 countries worldwide.
Judges also deemed Fracino a worthy winner for developing the next generation of engineers – and its commitment to giving back to its local communities.
The judging panel included Mark Gilmore from Birmingham City University. He said: “With 93% of components made in house and 80% of raw materials sourced locally, Fracino passed our criteria with flying colours.
“Boasting a high UK market share and selling coffee machines to the Italians, we also applauded how this is a business that values its staff and enjoys high employee retention. We wish the team continued success.”
