The BDI fall nine points earlier on today since yesterday and now reads 1,546 points; the weekly fall was 32 points – from 1,578… (20 October 2017)
The Capers, volatile as ever, were up 38 points at 3,220 and up 65 since last Friday the 20th of October – from 3,145. This is a dangerous volatility! See our report of yesterday and see what we mean…
The Panamaxes lost 36 points – now at 1,517 and the BPI was also down 126 points since last week’s 1,643 points.
The Supras’ BSI was down 17 and now stands at 1,100 points; down on weekly basis 26 points – from 1,126…
The Handies’ BHSI lost …one point – now at 687; on a weekly basis the Handies were up eight points – from 679…
The Wets on the …plus; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) gained eight and just one point – 920 and 516 respectively; on a weekly basis the Dirties were up 18 points – from 902 and down 15 – from 531 respectively… All in all mind the fake news, as this industry if having another obstacle might sooner or later be THE victim of fake news…
The WTI was on the up earlier standing at US$ 54.19 a very worrying rise… Last week it stood at US$ 51.41… Caution as we might be heading for problems…
The Geopolitical situation might soon get to a point of no return:
The MIGRANTS influx continues; Turkey “entertains” its losses on other fronts and continues to test the nerves and patience of Europe and the USA with a multiple of dubious ways… and continues to send MIGRANTS over to Europe via the Greek Aegean islands – wait to see how many more will be send over! Remind you that there are still three million awaiting from the Middles East and from as far as Afghanistan! Who’s behind president Erdogan? Is it the same people and the same nation and race which supported Kemal Ataturk… What are the politicians in German dominated Brussels contemplate for? Pestering Greece might at the end lead to a major confrontation with incalculable repecurssions for all.-
The Wars in Syria and Iraq continue not just to get rid and smash the remnants of ISIS, but we have the Kurdish saga that president Trump must adjust before it is too late and there is yet another conflagration beyond the Middle East… Russia works for its vested interest in Syria and vetoes investigations at the UN on the Syrian forces suspected of using chemicals… but who doesn’t use equally lethal weapons for the embattled public there… As said recently, expect an “influx” of Terrorist fighters returning, particularly back to Europe…
Turkey continues to get into more mess internally and never ignore the fact that this nation is divided by Erdogan’s Referendum. There are going to be many more trials and all these coupled with the Kurdish issue might see the county even in a civil war… Above anything else Turkey must realise that any aspirations on Pan-Turkism will at the end of the day fall short despite the bloodbath we foresee. CAUTION!!!
Next door Greece continues in its own dire straits. The hype from German dominated Brussels MUST end… Expect clashes on the negos with the EU… There is always an enough when dignity knocks to your doorstep.
