The “Fiore di Levante” berthed at Kyllini
With the elemed project in full roll out , a HAZID analysis workshop took place in the Port of Kyllini today.
Representatives from the Port authority the municipality of Kyllini Andravida, electrotechnical and Marine Engineering specialists gathered in order to identify and analyze the complete shore connection layout and envisaged operations, focusing in optimizing safety and efficiency aspects.
The Port of Kyllini Shore Power Sea connection , the first of its kind, in the Eastern Mediterranean is being developed under the elemed project. The tendering process as per the Hellenic National legislation has already been completed and commissioning is expected before summer 2018.

In the mean time a similar installation is expected onboard the M/V Fiore Di Levante alllowing her to become the first RoPax ferry in the Mediterranean area relying on shore power for her night stay in port
