New Management at Port Sultan Qaboos

Management and operation of Port Sultan Qaboos (Muscat port) has changed with effect from 1 January 2018.

The new manager-operator is Marafi Asyad Company LLC, who has taken over from Port Services Corporation SAOG.

The tariff, procedures, rules & regulations remain the same until further notice.

Industrial Action at Port Kembla Coal Terminal

Members of the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) will commence industrial action on the afternoon of Sunday 7 January.

There will be rolling stoppages, the duration of which is currently unknown, but will coincide with the arrival of the next vessel, “Kagara”, with an ETA Port Kembla of 1200 on 7 January.

The port authority has indicated that “Kagara” and another two vessels scheduled to arrive next week will berth and be loaded on arrival.
