Nine brave women from OrderWise are set to get dragged through the mud in Cancer Research’s Pretty Muddy 5K Race for Lifeat the end of the month.
The Saxilby-based software company has assembled its finest team for the race and the girls will be heading to Clumber Park on 30th June, before sliding through the course at 1.15pm.
OrderWise Marketing Consultant Holly Johnson is one of the nine staff taking part in the race.
She said: “We’re all so excited to finally take part in the Pretty Muddy 5K as we’ve been wanting to get stuck in for a while now. This is our chance to raise some money for a charity that is close to all our hearts. With staff and family contributions, we’ve now raised a total of £911 including gift aid.
“We’re a united team here at OrderWise and it’s nice to see that most of our donations have come from our colleagues. You can always guarantee, whatever the reason, the whole company is willing to get behind you.”
The company has set a fundraising target of £1,000 before the event. To boost their efforts, staff will also be holding a Pretty Muddy Quiz night at the company’s Hive café.
Managing Director David Hallam said: “Our dedicated staff have been pulling out all the stops to get people to donate to this amazing cause. We fully intend to smash our fundraising target of £1000 in the coming weeks!”
