The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) ended up with an extra dozen points since yesterday and now stands at 1,445 points. On a weekly basis the 54 points – up from 1,391 points since last Friday the 8th of June, is something to build on… Geopolitics and trade wars do not leave room for experiments. The Capes continued to rise both daily and weekly; the BCI gained 39 points earlier on and now reads 2,223. On a weekly basis the BCI gained 72 points – up from 2,151 points…
The Panamaxes BPI was down three points at 1,495 but on a weekly basis same was up 77 points – from 1,418…
The Supras gained three points with the BSI now reading 1,091; on a weekly basis 16 points plus was an encouraging weekly ending!
The Handies one plus point counts better than nothing with the BHSI at 593. The weekly gains on a single plus figure, nine points from 584!
The Wets both on a daily as well as weekly basis were more than split with the last BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) at 776 plus eight steady at 518 respectively is something to watch… The energy issues will create a new era… The weekly levels stood at 731 for the Dirties – up 45 and minus 17 for the cleans – from 535…
The WTI as these lines are been written stands at US$ 64.90 – a good drop… CAUTION!
The Geopolitical maintain the momentum with the MIGANTS being now more than just on top of all other issues involving Northern Africa, Malta, Italy and Spain from the one hand and Turkey from the other as more MIGRANTS are making the effort in all fronts… CAUTION as this apathy not to contain the MIGRANTS escalation will definitely trigger unwanted situations with incalculable repercussions as we have in writing foreseen long ago… It is not just the social cohesion, is beyond that!
