The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) lost 23 points earlier on today as all dry indices – except the BSI fell. Geopolitics and its short term outcome – don’t ask for the medium or long term, are more than crucial. John Faraclas’ daily market and geopolitics recap:

The main losers were the Capes and Panamaxes; the BCI lost 43 points and now stands at 2,187, the Panamaxes BPI was down 24 and now reads 1,458 points…

A point plus for the Supras’ BSI now standing at 1,099 points, about to break the 1,100 threshold; hooray!!

Minus one for the Handies with the BHSI now at 594 points…

All in all: NOT a good start of the week, as yesterday the fall (of today) looked inevitable…

The Wets too on a falling mode; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans)  stood at 736 and 511 – that is minus 01 and four points respectively…

The WTI stood at US$ 65.12… let’s hope for a further drop for the sake of humanity!

The Geopolitical issues ae sending warnings and we sincerely hope the public gets the message… we are living in interesting times: The MIGRANTS are increasing its … popularity as the most important issue; governments in Europe and in particular in the EU are at loggerheads but they don’t do it excellent in finding a solution – dirty politics you see… At the other side of the Atlantic in the USA MIGRANTS are faced with MIGRANT family separation…

The Balkans will definitely enter a turmoil period particularly towards the end of September beginning of October…

Turkey might cause mess in the wider Middle Eastern region…

Greece in internal and external mess… Make up with the national issues and the finances or go home; this is the message as the people had enough! Ah! And a “grow up for all opposition parties there…

Israel tries to defend itself as more rockets are being fired against its citizens from Gaza… CAUTION for both sides.

The North Korean denuclearisation comes first; this is the deal!

That’s all for tonight and we hope you all enjoyed the opening of the Annual Royal Ascot event! Have a great time there and mind the …hats…

Have a nice evening, mind the hot weather – in London 29C under the cloud was deadly…, enjoy the world Cup games in Russia – expect more surprises and be on guard for any eventuality emanating from Pirates, Terrorists and Criminals wherever you are on Planet Ocean!

P.S. the UN Secretary-general MUST tell all at the Assembly to make up with the Trillions of Dollars Debt as Planet Ocean is sinking… The blame is for all G7 i and the EU; don’t mention China’s “contribution” to this financial mess…
