The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) continued its downfall and earlier on today lost 26 points standing at 1,347. Geopolitics with trade wars beginning more than crucial… John Faraclas daily market brief:
The Capes’ fall was reduced to 52 points (it was 97 yesterday) and the BCI now reads 2,038, very close to the 2,000 point threshold…
The Panamaxes’ BPI lost 37 point, almost the same since yesterday when it lost 39 points, and now stands at 1,382.
The Supras’ BSI …grounded at 1,094 – no change…
Down one point for the Handies’ BHSI now reading 592…
The Wets were down and stranded so to speak; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 743 – no change and 516 – down one point respectively.
The WTI as these lines are written stands at US$ 65. Caution still for an issue that might trigger global mess…
