Today the final results of the Concentrated Inspection Campaign on Safety of Navigation (including ECDIS) have been published.
The Paris Memorandum of Understanding (Paris MoU) on Port State Control (PSC) carried out a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Safety of Navigation including ECDIS jointly with the Tokyo MOU between 1 September 2017 and 30 November 2017. During the CIC, member States focussed on compliance with areas specified by the CIC including ECDIS requirements during PSC inspections. This report documents the results of the campaign for the Maritime Authorities of the Paris MoU. Results for the Tokyo Maritime Authorities will be reported separately. The objective of the CIC was to check the conformity of safety regulations for ships and the competency of crew involved in navigation operations.
