Τugboat engine failure at Bosphorus Strait

A small tugboat, MV Bersek, suffered an engine failure while transiting from South to north at the Bosphorus Strait at 03:45hrs local time.
The Istanbul VTS sent a tugboat, M/TUG Kurtama 3, to the incident location and thereafter towed M/TUG Berserk to the Buyukdere anchorage within the Bosphorus Strait.
M/TUG Berserk has dropped anchor in the Buyukdere bay at 04:45hrs local time and will wait to solve their engine failure together with the clearance from Harbour Master.

Fuel oil leakage at Aliaga Nemrut Bay

An unspecified fuel oil leakage at Aliaga Nemrut Bay on 30 August has polluted approximately 1.3 Miles of the Izmir Foca Coast. There is no report of hitch at Nemrut Bay and vessels loading/discharging operations are still going on.

Changes in Taman port tariffs

TNG Terminals has announced that terminal tug safety and fire watch tariffs will be changed to fixed tariffs in Russian Rubles and applied to all vessels sailed after 14 August 2018.
The charges are as follows:
Tug safety watch for LPG and oil tankers
Tariff applied before 14 August 2018: USD 560 per hour
Tariff in force from 14 August 2018: RUR 38205.10 per hour
Fire watch for LPG
Tariff applied before 14 August 2018: Vessel volume x USD 0.07
Tariff in force from 14 August 2018: Vessel volume x RUR 4.78
Fire watch for oil tankers
Tariff applied before 14 August 2018: Vessel volume x USD 0.03
Tariff in force from 14 August 2018: Vessel volume x RUR 2.05
