NEW CUSTOMS DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENT WITHDRAWN

Marine works east of River Trade Terminal

For approximately 20 months, marine works involving barging operations, seawall construction and installation of marine facilities will be carried out within the following areas:

WORKS AREA 1
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22 deg. 21.969’N / 113 deg. 56.930’E
(B) 22 deg. 21.866’N / 113 deg. 56.973’E
(C) 22 deg. 21.819’N / 113 deg. 57.006’E
(D) 22 deg. 21.773’N / 113 deg. 57.037’E
(E) 22 deg. 21.743’N / 113 deg. 56.988’E

WORKS AREA 2
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (F) to (L) and the adjacent shoreline:
(F) 22 deg. 21.635’N / 113 deg. 57.063’E
(G) 22 deg. 21.664’N / 113 deg. 57.112’E
(H) 22 deg. 21.477’N / 113 deg. 57.240’E
(I) 22 deg. 21.302’N / 113 deg. 57.196’E
(J) 22 deg. 21.309’N / 113 deg. 57.117’E
(K) 22 deg. 21.618’N / 113 deg. 56.904’E
(L) 22 deg. 21.632’N / 113 deg. 56.867’E

Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights and radar reflectors are laid to mark the boundary of the works areas at co-ordinates (C), (H), (I) and (J).

The works will be carried out by a flotilla of vessels including flat top barges, crane barges, hopper barges, derrick barges and landing platforms at various stages. Some tugboats and work boats will provide assistance. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around each working vessel will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the working vessels.

The hours of work will be round-the-clock.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

New Customs documentation requirement withdrawn
Wednesday, October 24, 2018, Fujairah, United Arab Emirates

Fujairah Customs has withdrawn the requirement for vessels calling at the port to discharge cargo to submit the Original Certificate of Origin (attested by Chamber of Commerce) & invoice to complete Customs documentation.

The Certificate of Origin provided by the load port terminal to Fujairah Customs may now be submitted to complete the documentation.
