GCPTCL Jetty maintenance

Gujarat Chemical Port Terminal Company Limited (GCPTCL) have advised that maintenance will be carried out on the jetty at their Dahej terminal from 18 to 25 January, 2019.

However, the jetty will be kept operations for vessel berthing and unberthing during the period 21 to 23 January, 2019.

Jetty maintenance activity will be conducted as per the below schedule given below:
18-20 Jan 2019 – Jetty S/D (no vessel movement)
24-25 Jan 2019 – Jetty S/D (no vessel movement)

Shore protection works at Sungei Pandan

From today (21 December 2018) to 01 March 2019, shore protection works are being carried out at Sungai Pandan.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.133 of 2018, the works are being conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 17·955’N / 103 deg. 45·506’E
2) 01 deg. 17·960’N / 103 deg. 45·512’E
3) 01 deg. 17·942’N / 103 deg. 45·526’E
4) 01 deg. 17·937’N / 103 deg. 45·520’E

An excavator will be used to carry out the works. The excavated material will be transferred to land using tipper trucks. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF Channel 25 for assistance, if required.
