Testing of autonomous & remotely operated underwater vehicles off St John’s Island
Thursday, January 3, 2019, Singapore

From 7 to 18 January 2019. Testing of autonomous & remotely operated underwater vehicles off St John’s Island.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.01 of 2019 dated 2 January 2019, the testing will be carried out between 0900 and 1700 hours daily within a working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 13.024’N / 103 deg. 51.109’E
2) 01 deg. 13.077’N / 103 deg. 51.187’E
3) 01 deg. 12.920’N / 103 deg. 51.256’E
4) 01 deg. 12.889′ N / 103 deg. 51.144’E

The work boat will deploy and recover the underwater vehicles by crane.

A safety boat will be in attendance at all times to warn and re-direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
