Edinburgh Marina drops anchor at this year’s Southampton Boat Show
[London: 5 September 2019] Edinburgh Marina Holdings, the developer of Scotland’s premier waterside destination, has today confirmed that it will be exhibiting at the Southampton International Boat Show for the first time from Friday 13 – Sunday 22 September 2019. As a member of British Marine, the organisers of the Southampton International Boat Show and marine trade association, Edinburgh Marina will be one of the exhibitors on their stand, J150.
Edinburgh Marina will be the first purpose-built marina that has been developed in the UK next to a capital city in the last 40 years. Occupying a unique location less than 4km (2.5 miles) from Edinburgh city centre, Edinburgh Marina will be an exciting new addition to the city’s lifestyle, tourism and culture, providing an exclusive yachting and entertainment facility for boat-owners, visitors and local residents to enjoy.
The new world class marina will comprise of 427 full-serviced berths, which will be capable of accommodating boats of up to 40m plus in length, with 24/7 access at all states of tide. Positioned adjacent to the marina, the stunning new club house will include; a shop, bistro/ café and bar with all day dining facilities and fully-equipped male and female changing rooms with showers, lockers, washers and driers – ideal when preparing for or returning from a long day on the water.
Edinburgh Marina will be located next to the new Hyatt Regency Conference and Spa Hotel which will provide luxurious hotel rooms and serviced apartments. The development also includes much needed one, two and three bedroom homes, Royal Wharf – Living for Retirement as well as the Chestnut Yard medical hub and local shopping.
