Dry and Wet Markets tumble; Geopolitics worsening… CAUTION!
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) fell 20 points earlier on today and now stands at 1,782 losing the 1,800 threshold!!! The geopolitical situation couldn’t be worse… John Faraclas’ daily recap:
The Capes’ BCI was stuck at 3,078 points – no steam left, eh!!
The Panamaxes lost the 1,600 points threshold and now read 1,574 – down 34!
The Supras lost 32 points with the BSI now at 1,127!
The Handies’ BHSI was down 13 – a naughty double digit fall and now stands at 604 points.
U L T R A C A U T I O N should be observed!
The Wets’ fall continued; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 1,055 – down 46 points approaching slowly but dangerously the 1,000 point mark and 711 – down ten points respectively…
The WTI fell 48 cents to US$ 55.06…
Geopolitics in all respects messy; the war is on in a different way – 80 centum on the screen and 20 centum in the platoon…
Elections on the 12th of December in the United Kingdom. Watch this space. As things stand, it will be impossible for an overwhelming majority by any party!!!
UNCTAD’s Review of Maritime Transport presentation at the IMO was a great event earlier on at the IMO; good to have the chance to air our question that we ae at War! Slow development and the Planet Ocean is subjected to the Trade Wars, Slow development, the main China – USA sanctions/trade war confrontation, BREXIT’s uncertainty, still inequality with Women despite their skills and good projections. Will revert in full.
What an excellent Rive Cruise was that by UN/CEFACT’s 34th Forum… Good for an at easy network with many delegates. I can assure that this Thames Cruise will remain in the hearts and minds of all participants.
