IMCA’s diving heritage to the fore
NUI AS is hosting the seminar on behalf of the Association of Operators for Hyperbaric Lifeboat Reception Facilities. Held biennially, this year’s theme is ‘Are we adapting to a volatile market?’.
IMCA’s CEO, Allen Leatt who is part of the NUI Industry Management Advisory Panel said “Diving is in our DNA and therefore being involved in this key industry event is of paramount importance to us and our members.”
Bryan McGlinchy, Diving Manager and Peter Sieniewicz, Technical Adviser – Diving, will both be presenting on behalf of IMCA. Additionally, IMCA will have a small display at the event and will be showcasing the pilot of its newly developed Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme and associated App created for diving supervisors. The scheme which incorporates the very latest in training techniques and is available in IOS, Android, tablet and PC formats is scheduled to be launched in Q2 2020.
IMCA has consulted widely with its membership; and the development and governance of the system has been overseen by IMCA’s Diving Division Management Committee, comprising leading industry diving managers and experts.
IMCA is taking this opportunity to host its Europe & Africa Regional meeting on 12 November in the same location in Bergen. Members wishing to attend should register by emailing events@imca-int.com
