Skyfall …err Dryfall continues with the BDI@1,304; Wets …“surge”

The Dry Market ‘s fall continued with the only excemption that of the Panamax which surprise surprise gained four points! The Wets on the up and Geopolitics as usual continue to deteriorate sending hint-alarms but few can understand them. John Faraclas’ daily briefing:

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) lost 34 points and now stands at 1,304 with the projection – let’s hope not, that same will go under the 1,300 points threshold…

The Capes’ BCI was down 60 points losing the 2,600 point threshold and now reads 2,543!

The Panamaxes’ BPI was surprisingly up four points at 1,116 !

The Supras’ BSI lost seven points and now stands at 716… and

The Handies’ BHSI is just about to go the psychological barrier of 500 points; it now reads 501 – down five!

The Wets’ “surge” continues; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stand at 1,194 – up 51 and 696 – up 23 points respectively.

The WTI at US$ 56.34… a slight fall. Need to see same under US$ 50.00! In any event, “brace” for a fall in the long term as environmental issues dictate so and the introduction of alternative sources, mainly wind and sola power will change the balance… but…

The Geopolitics still mess and perplexed:

The MIGRANTS issue dominates the real news and hurts many societies, particularly in Europe and in the USA / Mexican border… wonder if we see an exodus from Hong Kong…

Nearly 500 more Migrants crossed over to the Greek Islands yesterday… Europe will pay the hefty penalty one day as Brussels’ morons remain morons and cannot understand or do not want to understand the importance of the issue and Turkey’s blackmail…

Turkey continues and will continue to pester all of its neighbours unless NATO and the EU really intervene; end of the story…

Let’s see what happens tomorrow in the NATO summit in Brussels…

The faulty line from Gib to Afghanistan and from the Caucuses to the Horn of Africa continues to give more shocks… Ten hot spots, a real danger!

The British elections: an issue to be closely followed-up as the live TV debate last night opens the appetite for an unexpected election result and future… BREXIT still on…

At the other side of the Atlantic more revelations on the impeachment hearings and let’s see how president Tump responds…

Caution on South America; too many issues… Same applies for the entire African continent

What’s next for Hong Kong??

And what’s next with North Korea?

And finally: The Trade Wars continue…

Have a nice evening and remain on guard from actions emanating by Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean.

P.S. Tip of the day: Go for newbuildings!!!
