The Conservative Party, under the leadership of Boris Johnson, won yesterday’s UK general election with a large majority registering its best performance since 1987. The Labour Party, under the leadership of Jeremy Corbin, posted its worst performance in a general election since 1935.
Greece
According to data collected from credit institutions by the Bank of Greece, nominal apartment prices are estimated to have increased by 9.1%YoY in Q3-19, while according to revised data they rose by 5.3% in Q1-19 and 7.7% in Q2-19.
CESEE
Serbia: In the last policy committee meeting for 2019 held yesterday, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) decided to keep the key policy rate at 2.25% after delivering a 25bp cut last month. Inflation accelerated to 1.5% YoY in November from a record low of 1.0% YoY in October.
